Mrs Iyke-Igwe Sandra, hails from Udi Local government area of Enugu state. She is married to Engr Everestus Iyke Igwe, a native of Umudim-Ukpor in Nnewi South Local Government of Anambra State. They are blessed with four beautiful children.

She had her primary education in Urban primary school, Okigwe , Imo State where she obtained her First School Leaving Certificate and thereafter, proceeded to the Prestigious Girls’ Secondary School Okigwe, formerly known as Mercy Model Girls’ Secondary School.

She obtained her Bachelor Degree in French language from University of Uyo in 2002 and a Post Graduate Diploma in Education from the National Teachers’ Institute (an affiliate of Usman Dan Fodio University, Sokoto.) She proceeded to Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, Kaduna State where she obtained Masters’ in International Affairs and Diplomacy.

Mrs Iyke-Igwe Sandra joined Capital Science Academy in 2007 as a French teacher and Hostel parent. She rose from the position of just a class teacher to an Assistant Head of Year in 2009 and subsequently to a Head of Year in 2010. In 2012, she was appointed the Assistant International Curriculum Coordinator of Capital Science Academy, a position she earned due to her role in making Capital Science a partner school with the French Institute. The partnership with the French Institute earned the French teachers in Capital Science sponsorship opportunity by the French Embassy to France for professional trainings.

In 2018, when Capital Science established a day school in the heart of Abuja, she was appointed the Second in Command and was made the Assistant Head of School. This promotion put her at the forefront of policy formulation and implementation in the school. In 2022, the mother school of Capital Science Academy was merged with the day school. This merger brought Mrs Iyke-Igwe Sandra into the limelight of being appointed member of the prestigious Senior Management Team of the school. By this appointment, she was made the Head of Early year and Primary school.

Mrs Iyke-Igwe Sandra is a philanthropist, a counsellor, a motivator and an educational consultant and an educator per excellence. She is a strong believer in the slogan “Whatever is worth doing worth’s being done well”. She is very innovative and enjoys thinking out solutions to hard nuts problems.
