Our curriculum is designed to make a progressive transition from the Early Years through Basic Primary and Junior Secondary to Senior Secondary School smooth as possible.

Junior School
Our JSS curriculum is designed to make the transition from Junior Secondary to Senior Secondary school smooth as possible. During the three years in Junior school, students study all 19 subjects contained in the National Curriculum. These include:

Primary School
Our basic primary curriculum is designed to inculcate the knowledge of Literacy, Numeracy, the ability to Communicate effectively and laying a sound basic for scientific, critical and reflective thinking.
The curriculum for Primary School are as follows

b) Primary 4 – 5
In addition to numbers 1 – 10 above, the primary 4 and 5 also studies in the following subjects

Early Years (EYFS)
The Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum sets standards for the learning, development and care of children from birth to 5 years old. The EYFS is aimed at supporting the learning and development of children from birth.
Typically, Nursery and Reception will cater from children aged between 2/3 and 5 years old.
Their subject areas of learning are as follows:
- Literacy
- Mathematics
- Understanding the world
- Expressive Arts and Design.
PRIME AREAS:
- Personal, Social and Emotional Development (PSED)
- Communication and Language (CL)
- Physical Development (PD)
All of these areas are connected and it describes universal core aspects of Early Child Development.

ASSESSMENT
Assessment is an integral part of the teaching process at Capital Science Academy; we include assessment in all our learners’ activities both formally and informally.
However, we also provide and use a framework for continuous assessment, as an integral part of the teaching program and allows us to provide parents with a balanced assessment of their child’s progress.
BECE – ERC / NECO
As in all work at Capital Science Academy elements such as Information and Communication Technology, Literacy and Numeracy, Health Education, Enterprise Skills, Problem-Solving skills and Study Skills run through the curriculum leading to the NECO – Basic Education Certificate Examination and Education Resource Centre (ERC) for the award of JSS – Junior Secondary School Certificate at end of JSS3
STUDENT SUPPORT
An extra class program is available to give support to students who our differentiation systems indicated as in need of extra help. Support classes are small (not more than 12 students) and individual programs in English, Mathematics, Science and technology are tailored to meet the needs of each student. All students are guided through the progress of self – assessment and target setting and regular reviews which take place between the teacher and the students in the support program.
SENIOR SCHOOL @CAPITAL SCIENCE ACADEMY KADO
Capital Science Academy Kado is an offshoot of the prestigious capital Science Academy, Kuje Abuja. It is known for her long history of academic excellence and moral uprightness. CSA ranks among top 5 International schools in Abuja and Nigeria in general. We have produced a large number of graduates who have gone to study both in Nigeria and foreign universities all over the world and have excelled as most of them graduated with first class honours in different disciplines.
